Dash Lights wont work at night

You will have to consider the cost of labor - removal of the 04 switch and potential re-removal of it if it doesn't work vs putting a new one in from the start. Since I do all of my own repairs, reinstalling my original was a small cost of my time that was successful.

I had the same problem with the instrument panel lights and the steering wheel button lights not coming on. I took the dash off to throw it in the garage and take a look at my light switch plug and see if had the burnt spot on it but nothing everything looked fine. I reattached the plug to the light switch and screwed it back into place. I turned the car on I looked down at my steering wheel and it took a second to register but I realized oh crap the lights are on. Then I noticed the instrument panel lights were back on. I don't know what the problem was but try unplugging the light switch and plugging it back in and it might work.

Hi I am NEW, well to this site anyway. I came here because of this dash light problem in my 2003 MC SS. During the day I can see all the dash, console, steering wheel and clock lighting. But when darkness falls all I see (barely) is my clock and the PRND321. I have to use a flashlight to see how fast I am going.
The other night, I got in and readjusted my seat and "Poof" all my lights came on, It was like Christmas in there! The next day my son drove it to the store and readjusted the seat.... I am in the dark and using my flashlight again. I looked under the seat thinking I had pinched one of the wires in the seat track or something. So....
My Question is, Can anyone assist me with a diagram of how the wires are to be plugged in under my electric seat?
