There used to be a video on the Internet with a guy driving this crappy Geo (Metro, Prizm, not sure which) that had a Grand National drive train in it. The thing gave a 4th gen Camaro SS a head start (I think just to spool the turbo) and then just blew the doors off the guy! I used to have that video, not sure what ever happened to it, but I bet it's still on YouTube somewhere.

would've kept it looking stock on the outside. No body kit, graphics, supercharged badge, nothing but what originally came on the car. Then would've had fun blowing the doors off other people and left them in shock at being badly beaten by a GA.
So... Could it be on your future mod list?

I have no interest in big budget mods (and a drive train swap is a bit larger then I care to do). My problem is, I have "the mod bug".... When I had my '93 and current '94 GA's, it drove me nuts that the inside was exactly like everyone else. I custom painted the vents, put an aluminum overlay on the cluster, WheelSkin cover and a leather t-shifter and at some point L67 coils on the 3100. The '02 GT, I move the L67 coils off the '94 to it. I will probably upgrade the laterls next spring. Since the car was a "little ghetto" based on how it was cared for, I have an idea for CHEAP Strut Braces (yes, I know, the cheap-o eBay ones are about as low as you can go, I think $60 for front and rear STBs). I think I can mod a early 90's H-Bod STB to work in the front of the GT and it looks like the '92-'94 Z24 Cavvies had a front STB that the Beretta guys used, it MIGHT work on the rear of the GT. If I can find these pieces in the junk yard, I can do more research (before buying them). It would not cost much to get STBs from the yard (cheaper then eBay and a little DIY work).
Honestly, if I get back to AutoCross, I'm not sure I'd want to AutoCross the Monte (the courses are typically sighter for a smaller car), I think the GA GT would be a better choice,
