PK12456148 Compatibility with 2006 MC Heavy Suspension Upgrade
Hello Nick, after a whole bunch of research this week, crawling under cars, and crunching part numbers, I have found that the PK12456148 kit will fit your car.The only thing I have not verified is the strut tower brace. One of the employees is going to drive her 06 Impala to work this week and Iam going to check the fit. I'm pretty sure it will work. - It is interesting that this kit will work on the Chevy's up to 2008 but it will not fit on the Grand Prix's past 2003 due to a completely different end link system.Mark
[blockquote]thanks for the info looking forward to it.nick

Hello Nick,The kit as it is will not work because the front sway bars are different. i'm working on putting togeter a kit now for the 05' up cars. It will not have the strut tower braces in it though.I'll let you know in a few days when we get it all put together.Mark
To Pace Performance,Will the PK12456148 - W-car Heavy Duty Suspension Package for '97-03 Grand Prix & '00-03 Monte Carlo (part number PK12456148) fit a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo LT 3.5?Nick
I Thought I would share this with the collective if anyone is interested. Does anyone who has this on the the earlier model Gen 6's think this is worth the time and the money? Thanks for th input[/blockquote][/blockquote]

is htis a lowering kit or just heavy duty suspension?if it is lowering springs, can you show us some pictures of "before and after" on cars they have already been installed on, even if they aren't monte's? also consider how close you come ot bottoming out in most of the places you go... if you lower the suspension, would you end up tearing your car up?

i don't know.. no springs are pictured. i don't think you're going to make any major difference unless you change the springs myself, but i'm not really a suspension expert. how often do you drive in such a way that you would need this? if you live in the mountains, you should probably go for it... if you just have a few country roads then i wouldn't really consider it. i know www.pfyc.com has a few lowering springs.. or atleast i think they do, for you car. its more expensive, but still. you may want to go on www.summittracing.com. they may have something good. but i do'nt know how much looking into this you've done... its hard to say. i'm sure somebody here knows a bit more about suspension and can help you out.

I definately think its not one of those things i need, it just sounded good in some of the ads thats ive seen. And i have a 30 mile drive to work mostly through the middle of no where and i like to have fun some times. I figured it would probably help cornering and reduce body roll.
