Default heavy duty wire gauge

Hi,
I didn't think that there's alot work to be done on the 80 Monte that I bought but it's all good. Right now i'm just waiting for my quarter panels and rockers so I can do the body but before my parts arrive. I have to work on the starter wires. The previous owner didn't do a proper job putting wires on the starter. What heavy gauge wire can I use for the starter?
I'll start a build up thread and put pics. Thanks all!

if you are talking the ones from teh bat. to the starter that is easy get a bat. cable

If you are talking the ones to the solinoid then those are a bit diffrent and normally are in a harness.
Not sure on the guage but i would think that a good sturdy guage would hold it.
other then th actual wires from the bat. to the starter the rest dont hold current the entire time.

Hi,
I'm talking about the one that goes to the solenoid. Do you know the biggest wire gauge I can use?
