They do look good on the GP, almost like they were made for it.

My snow tires are firestone winterforce, 225/65R16. I have them on smaller rims then the stock Dale Jr wheels because they were a lot cheaper, lol

I did have traction control off. I've made it a habbit to turn it off as soon as I start the car. I didn't get too good of a launch. I eased into the throttle till I was rolling before flooring it, which didn't work out so well, lol

I hate fords as well. I hope to race him again soon and show him what the monte can really do

(Lab~ I hate fords too but you dont see me wanting to race and "show them" who cares its a car thing to get you from point a to point b no need to race, save that for a back road...)

Opinion is fine, but this just isn't true. 99-04 GTs launch awesome- they've got great suspension for drag racing, the SOHC 4.6 makes plenty of torque in the low and mid range, and in the 99-04s it's geared perfectly. It makes 300lb/ft of torque at 4000 RPMs, has 3.27s in the back, a solid rear axle, and a suspension geometry that lets it launch like a champ. Their holeshot abilities let them jump out in front of cars that are alot faster (which eventually pass them) in the 1/4 mile. I've seen it a million times.

youre right opinion is fine and its your opinion that what im saying isnt true. i believe the 2v to be over rated. i drove an 02 for quite sometime and its great that it makes 300lb/ft of torque at 4000rpm, unfortunately you cant launch the car at that rpm and idk what the actual redline of the motor is but i wouldnt turn it more then 6000. to me thats a car with a 2000rpm power range. in a street race the car is a pig. torque gets you out of the hole and horsepower finishes them off. that motor produces neither. they launch well cause they dont produce enough power to really blow the wheels off. i think the 4.6 is the opposite of the 5.0. the 5L launched hard and went like a psycho when they were geared up and then would fall on its face at half track. the 4.6 needs to rev. like you said this is my opinion. ive driven both and i felt the 5.0 to be faster. dont get me wrong i liked the 99-04 mustang even looked into getting a mach 1.

A win is a win, a loss is a loss...but trying to race on studded snow tires? WTF??? Thats like trying to play hocky in tap dance shoes....what the heck were you thinking man?

As for my thought...a 2v vs 4v to me, means valves..anyone who thinks you were talking about carbs when we are talking about cars made in the 1990s needs to share whatever they are smokin. The SC 3.8 from Ford was great, actually had an A2A IC. The NA motor was a turd...like all V6s of the era.

Natural instinct A ford product challenged me and I had to try and beat it. I'd like to see him now, its snowing and there's a few inches on the road, lmao

(he tried to race because hes insane... he wasnt thinking... he wont be doing it again he wouldnt want to look like dummy twice thats for sure)

I think what's more funny/embarrassing is the fact that his woman used his account to give him a piece of her mind on a public forum. Now we all know who wears the pants.
I'm thinking of setting up a mini-meet in hopefully the late-summer/early-fall. It would be great to have you two come down, if you can make it. I'm willing to bet that you're just as entertaining (if not more) in-person.
