I will find a set of mats. Someone or some place has a set of NOS sitting around. I'm going to call around to dealerships just for that reason, hoping one maybe has a set in stock on the shelf. I'm mostly concerned with the front driver mat, the rest in the car still look good.

The hood insulator I had given to me isn't the correct one for the car (I just received it and checked) so I'll be buying one. I do have a new NOS pair of wiper arms that were also given to me by the same friend so I will be installing those since the originals are a bit beat up. I'm also going to go ahead and replace the wiper arm caps, hood seals and hood bumpers since these are all a bit worn out looking. My hood seal on the passenger side isn't adhered to the fender anymore.

Why not just get Lloyds mats? They're GM licensed AFAIK. Have them in my vette and plan to get them in my gto soon too.

They fit like stock and you can pick exactly the type you want (how cushy of material, embroidery, etc).

Because I really only want a new front driver mat to swap out at shows, I'd really prefer OEM. I don't need to replace all my mats, the other 3 look new still. I've also looked at other manufacturers and I'm concerned about the perimeter - a lot of them look like they're a sewn (binded) edge which is not how the OEM ones are.

I did look at Lloyd and it looks like I can get them in the correct color and with an embroidered logo - wasn't initially thinking of that but the 06-07 style 'MONTE CARLO' text or 'SS' logo might be cool - so I guess that's an option.

Yes! I'm getting some good input and tips from the LS4 community on the header install too - i.e. flexpipe whistling, clamps be finicky and come loose over time. I'll have to see. As I said, I'm most likely having a shop do the install, along with the cutout, and my thought is to discuss the goal beforehand but also let them have some amount of discretion for what they think is best for fitment and the setup of the exhaust system as a whole.
