I had a 1977 Camaro with a 4 speed wasn't to bad..
My 1969 Corvette with 4 speed is a pain with the heavy clutch pedal in the city..

My '84 Z28 is a 5-speed. Only manual shift car I've owned and I LOVE it (and the T-tops). A big part of what I miss about driving it. Gives you more control over the car. I wish more cars that appealed to me were stick (such as only the 4-banger Grand Ams were stick, but I will only deal with a v6 Grand Am)....

If you don't know how to drive stick, try to find a way to learn and then test drive the stick shift cars you are considering. I personally think they are more fun (especially on long country roads).
