I think that grand am would be fun to drive. I also seen a beretta with an l67 in it. Maybe someone should put one in a Geo metro.

There used to be a video on the Internet with a guy driving this crappy Geo (Metro, Prizm, not sure which) that had a Grand National drive train in it. The thing gave a 4th gen Camaro SS a head start (I think just to spool the turbo) and then just blew the doors off the guy! I used to have that video, not sure what ever happened to it, but I bet it's still on YouTube somewhere.

So... Could it be on your future mod list?
I completely agree, I GA with a L36/L67 drive train would be almost the perfect sleeper, leave it stock looking and just have fun rolling up to people then then blowing some doors off. When I first saw saw those pics a couple years ago, I could not believe my eyes. I thought the extra pulley setup for the supercharger snout alone would have been a deal breaker! But, apparently not. I bet that sucker if fun as heck to drive!

I have no interest in big budget mods (and a drive train swap is a bit larger then I care to do). My problem is, I have "the mod bug".... When I had my '93 and current '94 GA's, it drove me nuts that the inside was exactly like everyone else. I custom painted the vents, put an aluminum overlay on the cluster, WheelSkin cover and a leather t-shifter and at some point L67 coils on the 3100. The '02 GT, I move the L67 coils off the '94 to it. I will probably upgrade the laterls next spring. Since the car was a "little ghetto" based on how it was cared for, I have an idea for CHEAP Strut Braces (yes, I know, the cheap-o eBay ones are about as low as you can go, I think $60 for front and rear STBs). I think I can mod a early 90's H-Bod STB to work in the front of the GT and it looks like the '92-'94 Z24 Cavvies had a front STB that the Beretta guys used, it MIGHT work on the rear of the GT. If I can find these pieces in the junk yard, I can do more research (before buying them). It would not cost much to get STBs from the yard (cheaper then eBay and a little DIY work).

Honestly, if I get back to AutoCross, I'm not sure I'd want to AutoCross the Monte (the courses are typically sighter for a smaller car), I think the GA GT would be a better choice,
