Monte stalling frequently
I have an 03 monte carlo 3400 which has the same problems, sometimes the car runs fine, but it will randomly start jumping and shut down, afterwards, the car will start and idle fine, but, as soon as i put it in gear i have to give it heavy throttle to keep it running, the check engine light is NOT on, some friends have suggested a faulty key ignition, could this cause the problem or is it definitely a different part
JKell9, I had something similar with my 3800. Would start fine when cold but when warm it would start then stall. I had to veep my foot on the gas for a minute for it to stay running. Then it started stalling and I had to sit for about 15 minutes to get it to start again. This happened on my way home in a blizard. Turned out to be the Cheep aftermarket MAS I put in. Once I put an AC/Delco MAS in it ran fine.
Did you get an OEM mas or an Aftermarket one?

I am having the same problem. I have replaced the MAF, fuel filter, ignition cylinder, fuel pump, intake plenum, cleaned the injectors and replaced the injector seals today. No change and it is not throwing any codes. What now????
hey everybody whats up well i just got this car not to long ago, i did a major over haul replaced vacume lines that was leaking and also replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and so on..
ok my problems my car keeps stalling horribly.. ok so i know my spark plug is backwards so check it out the plugs are installed in the correct firing order except for two of them which is #1 and #4 ok so 1 and four are in the opposite spots they should be but when i put them in the right spot and give the car some gas it stalls ok so i put them back in to where they are backwards so it runs a little better but smells like alot of gas but dosnt stall as bad when it is plugged the right way.. so what i need to do is find out why my check engine light comes on one second later after it stalls. i mean idk whats going on im stumbled. i wanna put 1 and 4 plug wire the right way but it runs good but ruff like a sensor or valve or vaccume line is off i have looked everywhere and cant figure it out...should i drop the gas tank and see if the problem is in there? cuz when its on empty ill put gas in and drive and blam it stalls like its plugged or something haha this car is killing me
