Waterpump is down next to the crank pulley, or the more common coolant elbows are near the tensioner/alternator.

what it sounds like to me is the oil pressusre sending unit, i had just changed mines because it sprayed crazy oil. but that is what i am thinking because it is pretty close to the crank pulley (lowest pulley) check that out, its a pretty cheap and easy fix

If oil leak I say front main seal, oil pan gasket, front cover gasket, oil pressure sender. Best guess being over filled with oil is front seal.

Coolant best guess is coolant elbows next water pump gasket or lower intake gaskets.

I suggest replacing the whole tensioner assembly if the pulley is bad but that's just me.

If coolant elbows are bad be sure to use aluminum ones instead of plastic. Water Pump gasket is fairly easy but if it's lim gaskets there not as easy.

If front seal is leaking oil a crank pulley puller is needed (local parts store should have in stock but is fairly easy to do. If front cover gasket or oil pan gasket there not as easy to replace.

I had a front seal go bad and it dripped oil on the ground also while driving oil got on the belt and slung oil all over the engine bay.

Ok guys... I truly feel dumb... Believe it or not, I'm a machinist by trade but cars??? Don't mess with em... Anyway, yes... It's coolant... Where it's coming from... Best guess or what I can see... Lower area as stated above... Always had issues with that elbow on top near manifold, replaced several times although haven't had one of newer metal ones installed... So this is DEF a lower front end of engine issue... Belt is screaming (slipping)! Just added another almost half gal. Real quick, my buddy said never add directly to radiator, I do.... Then put a little in reservoir... Who's right? So if y'all had to guess... Where would you think the leak is coming from based on where I said..? Just bought a pulley (not entire tension unit) and will put that on tomorrow but it actually stopped grinding now and only belt is slipping. Thanks guys.

You NEED to add to radiator on these cars. My bet is water pump.

I'm voting coolant elbows or water pump gasket. Also check your rad hose on that side to be sure it doesn't have a hole in it or something.

When first filling i fill the rad and then only use reservoir from there on out. As the coolant gets low it will pull the coolant from the reservoir into the rad and if to full overflow into the reservoir.

OK I had the exact same issue on my 03. and it was right after reving the car up too while driving. Turned out to be my block heater. The 03 jeff gordon editions came standard with them. Coolant would pour out as fast as i could add it. its located on the side of the motor facing the front of the car, right under the starter. Installs the same way you would do a freeze out plug.

hope that helps.

@ shop now... You guys were right... Water pump shot... Not only was that the cause of leak but also grinding/squeak sound... The belt tension pulley was fine. Installing new pump and belt. Don't know cost of labor yet but pump was only $35... Will post repair cost later. Don't know what I'd do without this forum. You guys ROCK!
