Update
The issue WAS a fuse on the passenger side of the car. Rear cigarette lighter is a 10 amp on the driver side, the Front cigarette lighter was a 15 amp located on the passenger side...Thanks to a thread where "Micky" chimed in. I do not know why GM would have the fuses on separate sides of the car...

Cigarette lighter
When mine quit...i checked the fuse ..it was blown..replaced it and it poped again....so i went to advance auto parts bought a new cigarette lighter and holder.....instahled it and replaced the fuse....problem solved..

Yeah I blew a cigarette lighter fuse once due to a crappy phone charger, and it had me stumped for a long time cuz the rear cigarette lighter worked, and the front didn't and the drivers side fuse wasn't blown. I didn't realize there were fuse panels on both sides of the car. LOL. That was an easy fix. But the auxiliary ports do wear out and break from time to time and you have to replace them. Try replacing it first. Should only be two wires....
