How do you replace the lighter on the front console? Does it pop out or does thewhole center console have to come out?

 

im not sure, but it would probably be better if u ended up taking out the center console...

but why do u need to replace it?

 

You can get it out from the back of the console. You unplug the electricity to it and then twist out the bottom. The cover is the top of it and it sandwiches the console.

I tried to reach mine from the back and it seems impossible.
Can you provide any information on how to access it?

 

I just had to replace mine and you can get it off without removing the console but i could not do it. I had to remove the console to take it out. I will be repainting my interior within the next week or two and can take some pics for you to help out

you can pry it out from the top. I've done it to two cars now with no damage. Just be careful not to scratch the console
