$950. OUCH,

WoW, Auto Doctor's can be Xpensive 4-Sure.
Happy 2 read that it was fixed, but that was a heavy hit
Wish you many safe/troublefree miles.
I think your Monte is a good investment, and each mile
you drive, it will pay U back : )

My Monte needs a new BCM and it also needs a new cylinger with passlock. Total cost = $950. OUCH, but hey, my monte is gonna be healthy once again ...
OUCH! $950. I know the feeling. I too just got a call from my dealer and I need the EXACT same 2 items replaced on my car. I was told it would cost about $750 plus WV state tax. Oh well its gotta get repaired if I want to drive it. Right?

Cool

Same problem here, it's been rare, but increasing in frequency lately. [Security light flashes, I try again 40 minutes later and it works]
950 is quite a bit; now I'm not the best mech around, but I do know a thing or two about a thing or two... Is there anyway to avoid the dealer and buy the part and program it all yourself with reasonable difficulty levels?
That does leave the key issue though, any thoughts?
