Default Air Not blowing properly

Hey guys, my friend owns a 2003 Monte Carlo SS and came to me with some troubles. For some reason when he turns the settings for the air to feet or head and feet or just head, i can hear a noise coming from the passenger side near the floor board and the noise never stops. Only time it stop is when i put it to defrost or defrost and feet. If i turn it to the head selection i get very minimal airflow, but it does sound like its switching between all modes. Any ideas guys? im kinda stumped haha! Glad my JG monte doesnt have this problem !

Could be that the blower motor is starting to act up

There are a bunch of actuators on what GM calls the HVAC module. It's possible one or more are damaged. Just a shot in the dark.

Cant be the blower motor, it works fine on every setting. The problem im having is its not switching between the modes correctly. Only modes it seems to work on is defrost and defrost floor. Recirc works aswell. The sound sorta sounds like either an electric motor just spinning all the time or the sound of air being lost when trying to go to another setting

From my research, I agree with Admin `Jason...

I tried to find out how to test the modules, but could not find a link... Dust & moisture can affect them & cause sporadic actions & functions...

We need a GM Tech Member to see your thread/post/problem. Way beyond my knowledge & Mr Google's Good Luck

Is the airflow being restricted on the driver side, passenger side or both sides.
