I don't believe the Monte's ever had Bose equipment in them. I know my 2000 SS didn't, and it had the "Premium" sound equipment. The factory amp in the back is actually made by Jensen [:'(][:@][X(]

I have -0- of the factory radio equipment in my car remaining, becuase it was all garbage, and I would recommend anyone with ears to upgrade their speakers, head unit, and all stock wiring.

 

Agreed, the factory stuff is ALL junk. When I asked my service manager about the quality of the speakers, he HONESTLY told me to go to Wally World and buy a set of speakers, cause they will be better than what's in ther.

 

I'm pretty sure my 04 has the Bose system. I know it is the premium system and it works well enough for me.

I used to have an 800 watt system and am suffering from hearing problems already. I'll never have a loud system again.
