I didn't read the entire thread, but are those LEDs pre-wired for 12V? If so, I wouldn't recommend using them as they will likely have a very short life span since your car runs as well over 12V most of the time and LEDs are very sensitive to being over driven

I love the look. I had a '93 Buick Century and GM put a nice little light on part of the door that shined down on the window/door look controls on both doors (I felt it was really a classy look on the car).

I might consider this mod on my Monte. I'm curious where you had to tap into for power to this rig.

And can you get a pic that's not that tight of a close up? Such as as night, sit in the passenger seat and take a shot without the flash? May help better show how well it shines.

Looks good! My Mini Cooper S had lighted door handles too.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments I will get a picture posted of the wiring as soon as I get a picture of it

That is an excellent idea. Mind if I try it out? Haha... I have 18 extra, I might try that on one of them and see if it'll change the look for the better with a little less reflection and brightness. What were you thinking for sand paper? grit-wise, I mean...

But the LED looks great, it works really well too, I'm very pleased with how it lights up. I would definitely recommend it for the ambient lighting...

Yes, they are. They are pre-wired to 12V and rated at 9-14 I believe... here's the exact ones I got off eBay if you'd like to check them out. What would you recommend doing to prevent this?

I was actually thinking about adding a variable resistor with access somewhere else too so I could dim down just the handles if I wanted... still unsure about it though, let me know what you think. Thanks!
