Default Door Handles

I've got a 2001 SS.. Been having some problems with people trying to break-in by punching out the door lock. Just curious as to what options I have gotto stop this. I've got an alaram system, so i'm not worried about them getting in, just a pain in the *** to constantly replace the door handle.
I noticed that on some (2003+?) the passenger side has no lock. I can replace my passenger handle with one of those as they are the same size, but am i also able toreplace the driver sider with the passenger handle, or is the assembly reverse?

Default RE: Door Handles

i always thought the exact same thing for my 03 . I wanted to get rid of the locks on the handels and also on the trunk lid. in 04 the trunks didnt have a lock on them but they were the same body so the lids would fit fine.

as for the door handels if you have on of the broken ones tha tyou have fil the hole with bondo and sand it smooth and paint it so it dont look like it is ther eany more and nobody is the wiser.

Also you might try to take the lockign rod off the handel all togeather so even if they pop the locks on it they cant get in due to the door still beign locked.
this will how ever force you to have to use your remote
