Default CAI tubbing question

my stock CAI tube that goes to the engine and to the airbox ripped where it slides over the engine part, i was wondering if i get a intake from say autozone what do i do about the air sensor? im sure the stock part new is costly and its my DD i don't care about power i just want to save some money on my CAI tube, all i need i guess is the tube not even the box, but my question is the air sensor will get messed up when an after market one goes in right? because there usually isn't a slot for the air sensor on aftermarket ones. let me know thanks

The K&N tube definitely has the spot for the sensor. I'm sure other companies have it too. Would be a good time to do the full intake swap.

get an IAT extend harness from intense or zzp and zip tie by the fender wall or behind headlight or where ever there's cold air coming to the engine bay. it will not mess up anything. i been running my cai like that the last 3 years.

Just go to a junkyard and get one if its a stock part. I bet you could pick one up for practically free since its not reallya special part at all.

If you grab some aftermarket tubing instead- just drill a hole a little bit smaller than the end of the IAT and push it into the hole.
