If you wrap, then you remove the heat shield and not reinstall I believe.

Okay, I just though you could rap over the heat shield and it wouldnt matter. But I guess you got a better chance of moister getting in there.

Do you wrap any part of the headers? I would love to see some picturesof the wrapped crossover pipe and intake if anyone has them.

This is a question direct to wht02monte...
I saw your fender well intake in your photo album, but i cant seem to find out the size of the couplers that you used to connect the intake piping to the MAF.

Didnt see this today. I just used a 3" and heated up on side by leaving it on the hot intake manifold then it stretches real nice over the MAF. And I dont think that would be considered a FWI, just a good 'ol CAI.

ok, i also saw that you had a a variety of other couplers hooked to the main intake piping, are they all 3 inch & lastly, what type of main intake pipe did you use?

Yeah, theyr'e all three inch and do you mean (by "main pipe") the elbow? All the stuff I used was airaid and specter for the couplers. The elbow was a big bich cause I actually forced the aluminum pipe into it so I could use teh "hook ups" on the vac tube and the IAT sensor and so they would fit just as good as stock. As for WHAT elbow I used, that came off a kit I bought on ebay that had the holes drilled to match the stock "hook ups".
