RJ... My 04 had two of those inserts when I bought it. Took them out the first day when one of them stuck to my bottle of Pepsi. They're sitting ina storage box along with my front licence plate delete and ash tray.

 

I'm going to velcro mine in with some adhesive backed velcro. hopefully that works. I've saved them several times from the dumpster.

 

My biggest problem with my 2007 SS is that its not RWD. I'm not sure what GM was thinking not making it RWD, but thats my biggest problem with it.

 

I am mad that it didn't come with an ashtray. Not that I smoke, but I know a great way to turn it into a concealed IPod holder. Nobody can see your IPod when it is closed, and when you open the ashtray its a smooth fit and looks really cool.

 

Tried to find a picture of it but I can't. I've made a few for the flip down ashtrays shown below, but here is another picture so you can get the idea.

Taz, thanks for the information. Looks like one of our's was discarded at some point when the original owner owned the car.

 

The dash is pulling up a little bit on the passenger side, towards the middle of the car
It's not a RWD V8.
Mirror rattles
And the hair thickness leather in the center is coming off

 

1976 Landau

1. Rust around where the vinyl top was. There are a few holes, even in the corners of the window channel.
2. Hole in passenger front floor pan from stock catalytic converter.
3. Rusting floor pans.
4. Rear window leaking due to window channel needing repairs.
5. Needs new dash wiring harness.
6. ................

Might as well have only listed:

1. Needs restoration.

 

There is a SERVICE ADVISOR about that... Your sensor is bad and needs to be replaced! Fixed the problem, or at least it did for me!

ALL 2006-2008 V8 SS (which stands for Super Suckers - buyers)... I hate my car!!! The car is poorly designed (engine and drivetrain), poorly built, and ALL CAUSED BY GM TRYING TO SAVE $15 a CAR!!! YEAH GM!!! Simply hardening the axles, and beefing up the drive chain to 1" would have allowed the car to run the way it should! GM's solution, lower the rev limiter, put in an abuse chip - which kills the gas... brillent solution if you know NOTHING about cars!!!

2006-2008 Monte Carlo SS' should go down in history as the biggest turds GM built!!!

 

mine is an 03... I dunno if anyone noticed but i hate the door panel interior where you can put stuff in... i tried to put coins in there like i did on my dads old Probe...n wat a MISTAKE!! when i put coins in they fall under a tiny gap in there and sometimes get stuck!!!

I also hate how (depending on the suns mood) the interior sometimes looks like a cheap worn out grey and sometimes it looks black when its darker outside...

Wats up with the buttons on the steering wheels....the more you touch em the more the more the peel...

the hooks on the passenger sides do me no justice when hanging shirts...the always fall when i drive fast

The cup holders ARE HORRIBLE..

and last but not least...i have no homelink console on my roof... so i use the emty console to put cds in it but they always fall out
... maybe its my driving but i dont care driving the Monte is a blast!
