2004 SS Supercharged

Just got it Thursday and over all its the best car I've owned but there are a few things I dislike so far

-Center console too high
-Rear seat belts rattle in the wind, but my old Bonneville did it on occasion too
-Cup holders suck
-Front aux plug too far from windshield, the radar detector cord has to be stretched and gets in the way of the radio
-Heated seat switches too easy to hit. I've only had the car a few days and we've had our buns toasted several times.
-Radio preset EQ setting resets to manual every time you switch stations

Other then these few things its a far better car then our old 1999 Bonneville SLE

I don't have really any complaints for my 2 Montes. The seatbelts and cup holders work fine for me. The only thing I wish they had is an iPod hookup. But easily remedied by an interface that I am going to get for my B-Day (for my 05). My 03 I had a CD changer installed in the trunk.

06 LT 3.5L

-Seat belt flaps when window is down (soooooo annoying)
-Seat belt holder (plasic thing that is on the head rest) is getting grooves in it from the seat belt going through it...eventually it will break through
-Speed Limiter at 107 MPH! Come on...at least give us till 115...AT LEAST!
-Won't grab second at 80MPH, my mom's Bonnie with the same tranny will grab second up until 87, and a recent 09 rental Impala with the same engine and tranny as my Monte would grab second till 85!!! How come I only get till 78??? Yet if you floor it at 75, it will grab second, and take it all the way to 100 without shifting....

Umm...I guess thats it...I LOVE my car though!

Couple of quick things, I don't like it the fact that the cigarette lighter stays on when the key is off. In other words, I have to physically turn off my radar detector every time I get in/out. Also, the driver's door squeaks and rattles terribly, especially in the heat we are experiencing at the moment here in Texas.

But, I am getting 29 mpg with a mix of city/highway driving, so not much to complain about. My old Dodge 1500 with 360 V8 got about 13-14mpg.

So grease that door up! lol

Even just shooting it with WD-40 for the time being should stop that squeak

2002 Monte SS

Tranny went out in less then a year
traction system works about 5% of the time
front bumper is loose
V6
FWD
no supercharger
the cup holder by the radio isnt tall enough. but most the time my ash tray is in there.
seatbelt flap is horrible
seats will not stay forward when trying to get stuff out of the back seat.

Wifes 05 Monte supercharged SS

everything creeks and sqeeks. they deffinatly cut the budget on interior
Tranny went out in less then 6 months
engine blew
V6
FWD

But i must say, these cars look great, my wifes is fast as hell for a V6 and they are both fun to drive.

There is an easy solution to this. It took me a while to figure it out. Go to the station that you want to preset, then change the EQ to whatever you want. Then hold in the desired preset button to set it. It will store the settings then. Only preset stations AFTER you have adjusted the other settings. This makes those settings the default for that station, so you could have a different setting for each preset station.

...... It's all starting to come together for me..... the "tighten gas cap" message...... the "service engine" light being on....... the filling problem (only at one gas station for me though.) Could my problem be my sensor?
