Heck yes they are. That's probably the worst thing about this car. Nothing stays.

 

1. cupholders are too big.
2. seat belts don't go up very well.

 

the plastic coverings on the seat belt are floppy... i don't like it (you know up against the wall?)... cup holders suck, mechanically just the fact that the lights won't go on auto if your e-brake is on lol... i had a fun night figuring that out a week or so ago hahahaha.... just little things like that, nothing to make me talk down about my baby

 

you don't wanna drive around with your e-brake, so why should your lights turn on? it's kind of a like a warning HEY don't forget before you pull into drive!!!

I hardly ever use my e.brake, and one night I went to my cousin's and he lives on a giant hill, so I put it on. I turned the car on and almost shifted to drive but since I had no lights I had to think about it for a moment. Then I remembered. If I didn't have the lights not come on, I probably would have tried to drive with the brake on.

 

1. I hate that the driver seat cant be moved up like the passenger seat because its electric everyone has to hop in the passenger side.
2. i hate the silver trim around the gauge cluster and vents but not around the passenger vent even thought theres an indent for it.
3. and i hate that the headrests didnt have the SS's like the impalas. your forced to get them yourself.
4. and the seatbelts flapping in the wind can drive you mad!!!
5. paint chips everywhere.

 

On mine, both seats are power so you have to manually move the seat up to make room for people to get into the back seat.

The plastic seatbelt covers on the b-pillar do suck.
They broke off on my last Monte, and are starting to come off on this one.
I'm thinking of just not letting anyone into my back seat anymore (unless she's really cute)

You just have to be very selective about what you put in the cupholders.
One of my ex's put a really tall cup of coffee in the front cupholder in my last Monte, and I didn't realize. It tipped over the first turn I went around. It rolled under the driver seat and exploded. Never did get all of the coffee stain out of the carpet, but at least it was invisible.

As far as the E-brake/headlight thing.
If I'm waiting in my car for someone, it irritates the hell out of me if the headlights are on while I'm sitting there. So, I turn off the car and put the e-brake on and then restart it. If I couldn't do that, I'd be a little irritated.

it seems like my '98 was engineered to let rain water pour in thru the windows when they are cracked, when stopped at a red light and when in motion. gonna have to invest in vent shades

as far as the cup holder issue, I removed the crappy little insert and now have room for a 12oz. bottle of pop/soda.

 

if she's in your backseat, i doubt the seat belts for the front seats are going to be much of an issue... assuming you're back there too that is

the cupholders do suck. the front one (under the radio) is worse, all i use that one for is change. the other one (the one that's like up against the armrest/center console) is ok, it helps that the back part of it is tall, but i still feel like things are going to tip out of it sometimes. little bottles (like poland spring) rattle around in it and have fallen out, but i've yet to have an iced coffee cup go anywhere (knock on wood since there's one in there every single day!!!).

 

Order the drop stops from this website. I constantly was dropping cell phone, wallet, change and credit cards between the seat and the console, Not any more since someone else on here suggested these. They fit between the console and the seat and catch anything you drop there.

My passenger side seat makes a rattling sound when there isn't someone in the seat on my '06 LT. I usually have music blasting, so I don't hear it much. But it sounds like the back portion isn't locking into place properly. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, were there any fixes?
