1987 monte carlo LS
Spare tire depression in the trunk will not hold a larger tire and wheel than the 14" stocker.
Very confined rear seat and passenger access.
Geared for 14" wheels
Stock suspension is too Cadillac like.
People don't think it's as good a car as it really is for 30 years old.
Replacement parts are too expensive.

Mine has most all of the original interior bits even the headliner is factory.
I put a dash protector on it, but underneath it's still in good shape. The vanes in the
blower vents are somewhat loose, I reworked the arm rest flipping it upside down, The carpet was nasty. The car smelled like a trash bin. After the new rug was installed
much better. All my seats and door panels are OEM. I did swap my factory lower door pulls. And I have an arm rest and headrest in the back seat from another car .
But for 30 years old it has held up very well.

Got a new rant to share, Not a real bad one but annoying none the less .
Every now and then my alternator will stop charging. Sometimes when you first
crank it up and sometimes after you stop and then restart it.
Most times you can just rev up the engine and it will start to charge again.
Sometimes not so lucky. If I tap on the alternator housing with a hammer
while the engine is running it will begin to charge. Not sure why this gremlin
exists. But I'm assuming that because the car sits a lot during the week that
corrosion is doing it or just a bad connection maybe.
Any of you guys have similar issues with your monte ? Please post back
with any repairs that worked to cure this. My alternator is not that old and has
only about 1000 miles on it. GM 1 wire . Stock

1995 Z34:
It's a sleek coupe that suits me well, but with a few annoyances:
• Shifter handle is hard plastic and not ergonomic (it isn't shaped right for a good grip). Would sure feel nice if it were curvier and leather-wrapped, or something.
• Silly little ping-pong floating ball thing in the fuel filler neck that keeps on making the gas station fuel nozzle shut off prematurely, like about every ten seconds.
and most of all:
• no power to the power window switches in accessory mode!
Why the hell not?? Sure, it isn't important in cold weather, but it is in the summertime! I sure hope Chevy wised up and fixed this for later models.
