Default Resonator removed today

Won a small amount of $$ at casino and thought I would hit the muffler shop and have the resonator removed. He said it would make a noticeable difference. At idle its very little but when kicking it, it is a big difference. I like it and they only charged me $30. They said they would install an offbrand set of Flowmasters for $200. They say theirs sound better. I dont know but said I would think about it.

I did the same on mine... But you need to re-boot your system. disconnect the negative ground on your battery wait 30 min, re-connect, then re-connect n start her up

Yeah Tad, why did you do that? A resonator removal won't set any codes.

77GP, your exhaust is stock, right? Is DOD (AFM) more annoying now when cruising down the highway?

Yes, mine is stock. Havent had it on the highway yet, but when I do I will post results. I may just take it out here shortly as the interstate is only 5 minutes away. I wouldnt think it would be a problem since it isnt that loud but I will check it and post.

All I know is that when I installed my cat backs I had to do it and when the guy at the shop took out my resinator he told me to do it. There is a post here from some one else here about it I'll try to find it.

Here it is....

This is from the Magna Flow Thread. Now I could be totally wrong but when dealing with exhast mods I have been told to do this. I know you are REMOVING the resinator and placing in a stragih pipe but this still affects back pressure
