I bought a K&N intake and modified the box a lot. Sealed all the edges and gaps, insulated the sides/top/bottom and relocated the IAT sensor. Using a scanner before and after it would gain approximately 15*C (yup I’m canadian) cruising at low speeds 35*C at a stop and dropped to ambient on the highway. Still much better than the stick box. After the mods I made to it, and prior to IAT relocation those temps all remained within 2-3* of ambient. That’s when I moved the IAT.
My next step is taking an old headlamp housing and using fibreglass to create a funnel and fender block off for track days. It’ll work like a ram air to feed the air box. And looks way less ghetto than just taking out the headlight 😉👍
