If you spends thousands on a build, and get a mail-order tune, you're a fool.

If you do a couple bolt-ons in your driveway and want to just get a few tables adjusted for under $200, it's not a bad idea.

Many people on here fall into that second category.

couldnt say it any better myself!!

jen, are you planning on anymore performance mods in the near future? if you are then dont get the tune yet, do all of your mods and then get the tune so the tune is adjusted for all of your mods.

a few bolt ons and a canned tune is perfectly fine but once you really start modding then you want a custom tune specific to your car.

jen if i were you this is what i would do: if your planning to do a few more performance mods soon skip the tune and do suspension or save it for the other performance mods you are planning soon. if your not planning on any other performance mods soon then get the tune so you get full use out of your mods already

I'm still working on suspension & i'm almost done. I'm not doing anything big on performance until I have a second car so I just want a start.

Get the mod's done you want, ie, u-bend delete, hi-flow cat w/ down pipe, throttle body upgrade, etc. These things LIKE to breath. The better they breath in and out, the better they will perform. Things like headers, 1.9:1 rockers, and even a mild cam, all help the L67 breath better. Adding a 3.6" pulley, or even a 3.4" pulley will take advantage, as long as you can do it WITHOUT spark knock.

THEN get a tune, either a dyno tune or the Overkill tune.

Mod's 1st, then a tune.
