i would be verry cautious reusing the trans fluid, it may have only been in there 3 days but sounds like you went from having all gears to no second in that time, i would pull the pan on the old trans and see how much crap found it's way to the pan, as well as as take a goood long look at the trans fluid, i would sugest flushing your tans cooler aswell, don't want any remnants of failure to posibly throw a snag into your new to you trans

Where else do you show case your engine??? Put it right next to the TV, dust it off, let others admire it's awesomeness
I never actually noticed the statement about re-using any of the fluids.... But I agree with Budsjlm, I'd have reservations about re-using fluids, especially from a part that failed. I've never done a job where I could reliably catch the fluids and consider re-using them if I wanted (they came in contact with too many impurities and grime on the way to where they were going).
If I were to consider re-using the trans fluid, first you want to check it out, make sure it's not "burnt" or discolored. If it's fine, next step, I would want to set up a way to "filter" debris from it (even if you don't see any debris, I'd still want to rigs something to filter it to be sure). How to do that, I have NO good ideas.

The motor is sitting outside right now jason, i hope it doesnt rain!
i felt too lazy to seperate the trans from the motor today, so i'll do that tomorrow and then friday morning i can pick up my "new" trans lol
im going to paint this one with some crinkle black paint so we'll see how it turns out haha
i was also considering running some new 0 gauge wire for some future subs lol right now that the motor is out, it'll be pretty easy to get it through the firewall
might as well do the "big 3" too haha
ick!! say hello to your second gear!

my trans pan looked like that when i cooked my trans as well. only difference was mine had a ton more black crap, it covered the whole pan and whe you ran your finger through it it would just cover where you wiped like you never did it lol.
damn skippy hello second gear

lol the little magnet is like that, i wipe it with my finger and it covers back up with the crap
