OH no, I completely get that. But, what I wonder, how much "stuff" of old fluid was also running around in there. In a typical pan drop and filter change, you don't end up removing fluid from the torque converter, so who knows what's in there.....

BTW - Everything is looking good (as to be expected from you lol).

I'm using the TQ from this trans, I had kept my old one just in case
Now I don't know if I should just throw it away or what

Havent updated in a while been busy doing some things but here's an update
Finally the startup vid!!
notice the insane ticking! the motor didnt get enough oil when i had cranked it lol but it idles sooo smooth now... definitely much smoother than the S2

the first 2 clips in the video are the first startup just diff. views reason i turned the car off so quickly was because of the smoke i noticed but it was just the paint on the exhaust manifolds and the third clip was a few minutes afterwards lol

this pic was from yesterday after driving it for a bit, the trans shifts like new really LOVIN my monte now haha and no more check engine light!!!

not that i was going to use it anyways but still, i couldve sold it to one of you guys but now it's garbage lol
i set a leather wheel cover on top of it and it somehow melted and peeled the clear in some spots lol i have no idea how but yeaa...

Nice work Frank, and i say no engine cover. You went through the trouble of painting the engine and making it look nice, let it be seen

Thanks man, I was just trying to see what it looked like lol
They don't fit anyways, I would need to trim them by the TB area

Very nice! Glad you got it running again.

I also say no engine cover.. it looks so nice without it. It also wont trap the heat under the cover either. Lets it breath a little better
