nope not messing around at all

the motor is perfect no worries there lol, its my trans
i got home after about an hour of driving it, installed my AEM filter and took it for a spin.... didnt shift into 2nd, it just slips as if it were in neutral. this sucks so bad! really dont know what to do right now. i guess i spoke too soon about saving money on a trans lol i dont have a problem replacing it but i cant really afford to spend anymore money.... anybody wanna buy my macbook? lol

I dont get it though, it was driving great and shifting really smooth all day today
im letting it cool down right now and im going to see how it acts in a few hours if i replace the trans i dont think i'd spend much but still.... only thing i'll probably need is more fluid and coolant, i can just transfer the new solenoids, gaskets and filter onto the one i get because its obviously going to be used lol

When you messed with the trans, did you change the filter while under going everything?

I would make CERTAIN to ensure the fluid is topped off. It's possible you're still recovering from a low level. My dad and I recently changed the leaking trans lines on our F150, seemed fine at first (topped off to the right level), but after a day of driving, it was slipping when shifting into 1st gear from a dead stop. Found it's not leaking but was a quart low!! Topped it off, it's been fine since.

I'm HOPING you are still doing alright and it's something simple like that.

man what would I do without the help of this forum?!?! I just checked the fluid and it's really low!
Thanks a ton Jason!! I hope that's the case here. I added 8 quarts though and yes I did get a new filter on there, i replaced the radiator, and removed the lines so all that fluid was gone too lol
I'm going to get two quarts just in case
