HEY, that sqeal you mentioned, before spraying anything or going nuts, here's MY recommendation:
- Engine off (obviously) remove the belt
- Spin each pully by hand
- check for play in the pulley
- If no noise, play or anything perceived as abnormal, check the condition of the o-ring where the PCV sits. I know on the S2 UIM, I've read of people who had a noise that resembled a bad alternator pulley (internal bushing) and found it to be a missing or damaged seal on the PCV.

So far, I think this rig is sounding like a winner. HECK you can DRIVE it now!!!

Frank, I think you need to make travel plans for next June!!! That ride HAS to come up to the GM Nationals in Carlisle!!
Lol I ordered the AC Delco o2 sensor and wireset, right now I'm running it with 5 ZZP wires and a stock one
Am I running lean with the sensor that's not working? I don't need another clogged cat lol

And I think it's the tensioner pulley that got wet from sitting outside lol the squealing is getting quieter and quiet though are you talking about the o-ring where the map sensor is? Cus I put a new one in

Hmmm how many hours of driving is it from here to there? Lol I plan on driving 20 hrs to Chicago in a month or two
I still have some more things I wanna do to it, like headlights and tails, and some rally stripes haha maybe even another set of wheels.... I want some 17's again soo bad!

You would run rich, not lean

But for the 2-3 days that you are driving it shouldn't affect it too much

Hey, I thought you said you'd have that start up video up already. You're holding out on us man!

In other news, glad to here you're only having minor issues with this.

Yeah, I was talking the MAP sensor area. So, you got that covered, cool. If it is the tensioner pulley, that's easy to change. I believe the bolt holding it is reverse thread.

And yes, you need to come to Carlisle!! Hang with Chibi, me and anyone else that comes out!!
Hopefully my friend's '89 Turbo Trans Am will also be there.
Here's the link:
Carlisle GM Nationals - Collector Car Show and Swap Meet, Everything GM, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile

And they have dates on the calendar already (Jun 21 - Jun 23, 2013).

Hi Frank, just think what it would have been `if you had to take it to a professional shop & had it repaired What ? Oh `no
Not many would take the challenge that you have taken and you should be very proud of yourself for doing it yourself (+the help of your Monte Family ) You have saved Big $'s 4-Sure + have learned so much more about your power-plant. I know I've learned a lot from this super thread you started & have enjoyed reading your trials & tribulations to get it apart & put back 2gether * (In your driveway & Living Room)<~>WoW
You are a inspiration to others 4-Real-Sure...

Thanks for sharing your adventure & experiences with `all.
Wish you the very best with your rebuilt Award Winning Monte Carlo S.S. I wish you the best in `Life.
Peace/Happiness/Good Luck, from `Space
