I'm thrilled the rail worked. For anyone reading, I compared the two railed side by side on a bench. The only difference I saw was in the "bell" where the injector fits in. On the pre-2000 fuel rail the bell allows the injector to hang an eighth of an inch lower. Both Mike and I learned something new with this one.

This it the 2000+ rail:

This is the pre-2000 rail:

Such a minor difference, you would never see it without them being side by side.

GM changed injector types on us in 2000. They went from a short-fat injector to a taller skinnier injector.

Apparently they also changed the rail when they made that swap.

Well... Those injectors don't seem to be big enough either

I was trying to advance my timing and add some fuel in WOT and my injectors appear to be maxed and it's knocking

5.8* of kr!!! Very bad

I was afraid them injectors were still too small. Time for some 42# injectors!

Yeah, I was trying to advance the WOT timing (since mine is super low!!) And it knocked

I backed the timing off in my tune again. I'm down to only 6* on WOT when I want it at like 16

I'm thinking that I'm fine to drive the car as is, just can't romp on it.

Going to save up for an a-pillar triple pod and fill it with a boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge, wideband. Also should probably grab a new fuel pump, and bigger injectors. Hopefully next spring I'll be able to do a big install of all of it

Save up for the a pillar pods? I got one a month ago for like 60 bucks lol

The biggest expense you have there is gonna be the injectors and wideband.

Got to love the money dumped into a race car
