do you have an aeroforce scan gauge? if so monitor the hertz on the maf as you are accelerating to see if it maxes out, also monitor for knock.

did you check cylinder 3? and how did you diagnose the misfire to that cylinder?

do you have a wideband to monitor the afr?

AFR was monitored at the shop that did the work. I have a scangauge 2 which monitors knock. I highly doubt I'm near the max for the MAF.

The misfire was P0303 which is that cylinder, the scangauge read and told me. I am under the weather and messing with a car is hard right now, I'm going to try to pull the plugs tomorrow and look at them.

also inspect the plug wire, maybe it got to close to something and melted etc... i doubt its the maf also but was something i wanted to warn you about once you start upping the boost i would suggest getting a aeroforce over the scangauge 2. also if i were you i would consider getting a wideband to monitor your afr at all times soon. if something happened and your fueling got messed up and you cant see it because you dont have the gauge your engine turns into a grenade.

keep us posted on what the plug looks like etc i am curious as to what it is. also check to see if its a spark issue or fuel issue on why it is misfiring.

good luck i hope its a easy fix for you, feel better!

I hate to say this..... but hope it is as simple as a bad plug / bad gaped plug. Did they or someone replace the plugs or pull the wires off? Maybe a break in a wire and the arcing to the block or something. Simple things tend to drive you crazy when you don't think to check them cause they should be ok in the first place.

GOOD LUCK.... mighty big project... almost 100%

Well I know when you go boosted it's often a good time to go to a colder plug. Maybe it's time for that.

I do want to get an aeroforce, and a wideband, and hptuners, just money is the problem right now. Hell, if I really can't figure this all out, I might just take the belt off the supercharger until I can afford the tuning software haha.

I just wanna check the front plugs since it will be easy to visually see. And then determine where to go from there. This rain just needs to stop!

I understand the money issue trust me! I just thought of another thing... take traction control off and see if it still does it... I know when I turboed mine kevin told me traction control had to be off but he never said why. Traction control is now tuned out completely for me.

Possibly traction control is kicking in thinking something is wrong with the added power.... Idk worth a shot!

And yes on the plugs I am running autolite 103

Hey man I am only part way thru the Bin file you sent me. Please take the belt off the car before you drive it again. Who ever did the tuning before was a novice at best. there are a bunch of basic adjustments that were never made to the file. I am working out a new starter bin for you. maybe there is someone local or close that can upload the file for you and then do a basic maf tune to dial it all in. I will edit more in a few min when i am finished looking it over.

Ok I am finished and emailed you a new starter file. some of the glaring issues with the bin I saw were:
-Fan turn on temps were stock and fan 1 now 188 on 180 off and fan 2 195 and 185 off
-AE tps re-allow was too low. rased
-cat protection was not disabled which could cause engine damage. adjusted
-the injector skew % were left stock. #3&4 always run lean so I added 2% fuel to both
-default max map was too low even for NA. adjusted
-the rpm limiter was cutting fuel instead of timing. this can cause a dangerous lean condition. corrected
-your spark tables had a lot of extra timing. I pulled 2* for mid to WOT throttle and added some fuel for WOT
-torque management was drastically adjusted. I did not have time to fully look over all the changes but I recommend having most returned to stock.

I highly recommend after having the new start bin I sent you loaded, to do the following:
-scan with wide band to verify correct AF. If incorrect adjust injector flow rate to achieve desired AF. with boost I would aim for 11.5-12.0
-have custom Spark table made
-Maf tune.
-adjust the torque mgt

and with my OCD... I would adjust the trans shift points to better match the power band of the new setup.

So I hope this helps. your file is deff commanding too much timing and/or not enough fuel. Also lacking standard safety tweaks. If you find someone with a tuner local I am willing to help them tune your car. I would love to see what it can do at the track with the right tune.

Glad to hear someone has a grip on possibly helping out Mike's tune!
