6th Gen ('00-'05): Popping/thumping Noise?

I've been having some "popping" or "thumping" sounds coming from the front end and I think it might be my struts? I have no minor/major hopping or bouncing, can't notice any strut fluid leaks, but every time I stop, and go is when I hear that sound. Best way I can describe the noise would be like knocking on a wall.
When I was doing my brakes a while ago, I noticed that some bushing are split and cracked, and need to be replaced. (I'm not very good with suspension parts; anyone have a link to describe each component on our cars?)
I need some help on identifying the parts and bushings so I can get the correct ones to replace.
May I have some help please?![Frown](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

..is #5 the sway bar end links?

#2 is a bushing in the lower control arm. They can be replaced, but take a good look at the condition of the arm. If it's rotting a lot (as they tend to do), replace the entire arm.
#5 is the the sway bar endlinks. If you want to upgrade to poly end links, get the Energy Suspension kit, part number 9.8122r.

Okay, thank you. I will see if replacing those will get rid of that popping noise. Are they easy to replace? Do I need a grease gun and grease them up after install? ( I plan on picking one up anyways).
Lower control arm is just rusty if anything at all.
What am I looking at in terms of difficulty to install the LC arm bushings and endlinks?
Will that solve my popping noise?
