So My friend was behind me in his truck. I motioned for him to pull beside me. We were already rolling at 40ish Mph. We both gunned it and he pulled away like I was going in reverse. But once he hit his speed limiter around 90 I blew by him. He had already gained 5-6 car lenghs on me. My car is a stock 2004 3.4l LS, his truck is a stock 2002 avalanche 2500 8.1l. Good new though, my dad's 2002 2500HD silverado 6.0l with computer work smoked the avalanche on both the top and bottom end. (before anyone goes complaining. We are both 18 and my dad was the one driving his truck.)

 

Those 8.1s in the avalanches are beast. I read an artice where they matched up a 2500 chevy duramax and an avalanche with the 8.1. The 8.1 beat it in towing and straight line acceleration and even accepted their tune better than the duramax did and the 8.1 was even better than the duramax after the tunes!
