Anyone tried swapping their H11/H9 bulbs??
For any of you 06/07 people out there, have you tried swapping H9's in place of the H11's Apparently they make ALOT more light (H9's being the brights) Read this article I found. Might be a nice mod if it works!
H11 bulbs
These new single-filament 55w bulbs are quickly supplanting HB4/9006 in new low-beam headlamp and fog lamp designs. (They are not physically interchangeable with any 9000-series bulb!) As is the case with other bulb families—such as 9004/9007, 9005/9006, etc.—the H11 has different base keys than its H9 high-beam and H8 fog lamp counterparts. Somebody goofed on the spec, though, for the difference between H11 and H9 base keys is insufficient; it's too easy to install an H9 bulb where an H11 belongs. The difference in light output between these two designs is enormous (1350 lumens from the H11, 2100 from the H9), so putting an H9 in place of an H11 will obviously cause the lamp to produce a lot more light. Some lamps are designed such that the optics would handle the extra light well, without creating excessive glare for other road users. Many, however, are not. As with H8 and H9, H11 bulbs are not widely available in the aftermarket.

no, the H9's are the high-beams... and I'd be kind of leary putting the H9 in as a low-beam replacement, since it pulls more juice it'd suck to melt the harness...

not if they are aimed right Cain. you can do it in yours to if you wan tot mod it. I personally didnt do this i went out and modded the whole head light.
and you cna defently tell the diffrence now when driving theya re alot brighter for driving an dwhen your in front of the car they dont glare near as much at you in the rear veiw.
but if you do what i did make sure that your are very carefule or you will be buying new head lights.
i am glad i dont have the new 06-07 style lights i would be doing the same mod to them LOL

Has anyone actually replaced their fog lights yet? I have an 06 MC LT and it has the factory fog lights installed. What I want to do is to replace the bulbs in them with the xenon lights. I have all 3 sets to change (low, high & fog) and I know changing the lows and highs are cake, however, I am unsure of how to change the fog lights. Is there anything special that I should know before attempting this? Do I need to take apart the car in any way shape or form?
Any help in this matter would be greatly apprecitaed on this end.
