one of my friend just got his new slp exhaust and put it on and he thought he was hot shi7 so i had to put him in his place.

the first race we went from a dig i had him by 1 from the start and then just kept adding on to it.

then we went from a 30 roll i only beat him by 1 car length wich to me was a little disapointing but i still got the job done. at first i was a head by 1 and a half but then he started to gain on me at the end.

but he had to make a smart comment like "you should of beat me by more"
which made me real mad but i still won so i didnt really care

I also had another person in my car, all of my baseball gear and my subs so i am some what happy but i thought that i should of beat him by more

and all he had done to his car is the exhaust which did sound really nice btw

 

Wouldn't it be a close race anyway, The Grand Prix GT - you didn't mention the year (so I'm assuming it was a 97-2003 model) both cars have the same 3.8L engine. And it looks like similar mods - after market exhaust. Just wondering - more info please.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised too.I thought that would be a closer race. What kind of mods do you have on your Monte?

 

did you have your 20's on @ the time too???

good kill so far i've found that my car has been faster than all the gtp's in the town i'm in..and i still haven't put my smaller supercharger pulley yet...should be fun then

2.5 down pipe
high flow cat
u-bend delete
borla cat back

and not to mention his car ways more than mine stock it is an 03 four door

are you sure the GP weight much more then yours? if it doesn ist only like 50 lbs. cause my car is only about 3400 (96Z34) and the 98 GTP i have is 3400.

also the Pontiac's have always had more agressive tuning stock then the Chevy's. but they are both the same 2nd gen wbody, same engine, trany.

the might thing i would look at would be milage, maintenace, and driver.

i'd love to give a mod'd 3800 a race from a roll. my DOHC would eat it alive... topend is what that motor thrives on! once it taps 3700 rpm good bye! thats all she wrote.
