Default ZZP Grand Prix suspension parts on the 06 Monte?

Okay so we all know the newer Monte Carlo's have very little after market support. Well I was checking into other GM models who's parts interchange with the Monte and came across that the Grand Prix shares the same struts, control arms, sway bar, hell just about all suspension parts.

Has anyone installed any of the ZZP suspension parts from the Grand Prix on their ‘06+ Monte?

i know the STB bars (mine were from GM) will fit on the 06+ montes just because i just installed them on mine but that's all i am aware of for now at least...

could you give ZZP a call/email and see what they say? i thought i have heard in a few places that lots of the suspension parts will fit (or maybe a little modification) but i'm not sure

Send them and email and got a reply.

According to them, the control arms they sell for the Grand Prix will fit the 2006 Monte Carlo. But they never answered if any other parts will fit so I need to email them again.

i also emailed ZZP about their GMPP front and rear sway bars they offer and they said according to their fitment chart, they should fit on the 06-07 montes. i am guessing they correspond with GM P/N 12498643 and P/N 12498642. i will email them back in the future to make sure.

so far we know that the STB bars, control arms, and sway bars fit. you would think if all those fit, this kit from GMPP (P/N 12456148) would bolt right up to the 06-07s, which is sway bars, STB bar, and trailing arms all in one kit.

i have heard that the 06-07 SS's already have the beefier sway bars i have been talking about, but i'm not sure about the V6 cars. i will have to measure mine next time i get under the car. damn, now i got the itch for some suspension upgrades!!

Do you know how much that kit would run and would it be worth it?

looks like $155 for the front and rear sway bar kit from ZZP (which is from GMPP). i think it would be a worth while upgrade if the bars were a good size increase from stock and you got the poly endlinks. i haven't had a chance in a while to get under the car and check the sizes of our stock sway bars, but if you get at it before me let me know what you find.

The front STB has to be modified to fit. The mounting hole spacing hole is 1/8" too short(?) for the Monte. The rear fits perfect. Also, someone had an issue with the front STB and a 3.4L engine, with the STB pushing on a power steering hose and messing things up. The 3.8L should be no problem Try to have ZZP do the modification on the STB. They are aware of the issue, even if they don't admit it. I was the 1st one to put one on a 6th gen Monte. It takes a mill or a die grinder to make it fit.
