*ERRR, UGGHHHHHH, AHHHHHH!!!!!*

uh, yes space.. could you and your UFO buddies help me out please....

a friend of mine has the greatest sounding car i've ever heard... its a 1998 Ford Mustang GT convertible, the 4.6 2V engine with a MAC system, no cats. he put the same system on his Cobra with a 4v engine... just not the same. and i know quite a bit about exhuast work, i know people who have done the work on both cars. it doesn't seem to matter what you do to chevy, no matter what size pipe you use, what kidn fo muffler, or where you place the muffler (the farther forward it is, the louder it is coming out), you justcan't get as good of a sound out of a chevy as you can out of a ford. this dates back to the 50's as well. chevy's sound good, don't get me wrong, but ford's have a slightly better sound (but we can kick their @$$'s at the 1/4 mile). i go to car shows all the time, the 50-60's fairlanes, mustangs, and galaxies sound better than the camaros, chevelles, and impalas... every time. however, the chevy's are faster. the ford's always seem a little quicker off the line, and can even beat the chevy's at the 1/8 mile sometimes, but when it really comes down to it,the chevy's get them in the end. lots of the chrysler products sound a little better than chevy too. but when it really comes down to it, you can't beat the sound of a good V8..... (well, an Aston Martin V12 maybe). and when it comes to which one is better, its personal preference, i perfer the lower, mellower tone of the fords. you may perfer the always loud no matter what dodge with the slightly higher pitch and growl, or the chevy's with the higher pitch yet a little more mellow sound. i go for the ford, but hey, take your choice... if it's a V8, you can't go wrong.

I've seen those spec V's... not bad cars with the peppy little m/t... You really have to love manuals tho... because that bcch takes a LOT of shifting... I test drove one once... the guy wouldn't even let me get on it, I was like 25% throttle and he was like woah boy, we're not off to the races, that AFTER you buy the car!

15.1? You should take that nissan easy.

Oh, and 3.9 vs S/C 3.8 THANK YOU FOR PROVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imma get a time slip soon. Ifiggured the 3.9 wouldpull away in second, for one, our second gear is ridiculously tall, and we have a torque advantage really in the higher rpms.

You can't tell me that in second, you don't notice the lag in the acceleration before 3500 RPM? I just wish the car would get to that sooner. I mean in first it's like hey, cool, more power after 3500 rpm. But in second... it's like WOW, what did I just do?! If the gear was just a smidgen shorter you'd go into second at a higher RPM, so there'd be less time before the intake opened up and the advantage of the Variable Intake would be much more noticable.

I mean, I love second, but it could be better. I can't count the number of times I've been on an onramp watching for the traffic I need to merge into... then I look over and notice I'm going 90 MPH it's like WOAH.... got there really quick!

im new to this site but i have been going on it for a while and i have a 04 supercharged ss with a custom exhaust, hi flow cat, u-bend delete, and resonator cut out, and one thing i know is that the 07, or 07 montecarlo LT's are not faster than the Supercharged SS's even stock. The SC SS has 280 lbs of torque and the 06 and 07's have 240 lbs of torque. i have raced many cars especially monte carlos and imaplas and i have never lost to any even when my car was stock so i know for a fact that the SC montes are faster
