They should have shrunk them from the beginning. The pony cars weren't meant to weigh over 4500 lbs.

Still blows my mind when I think of the the 70 and 72 Dodge Chargers I saw at Carlisle in the past with slant sixes under the hood. I've also seen a slant 6 Dodge Challenger or two there. Super rare these days since apparently everyone and their brother swapped them out for big blocks.

Would really blow your mind to open the hood of a 70 Plymouth Fury I four door sedan to find a slant six. They are super rare. I've seen quite a few slant six powered 70's barracuda's, Challengers, and Chargers.

I like the challenger but I don't really care one way or another if they replace it with something else. I would like to see something with a shaker hood tho. Maybe they can bring back the 70's dusters too. my buddy had one of those with a slant six. that's the only slant 6 I ever seen.

I've got a 74 Gold Duster with a slant six, two Dodge Aspen wagons with them, and an 81 Dodge Diplomat coupe with it too. They are good engines.

Between my dad and I we had about 3 Dodge Miradas rocking the slant 6. They would run forever.
