Will a New 'Cuda Replace the Challenger?

I read an article like this a few days back, last week sometime?
They want to shrink the Challenger, and I think that's a VERY SMART move. The Mustang is the smallest of the 3 ponies, the Camaro is going smaller based off the ATS body, all that is left is the Challenger to change. |
I better buy a Challenger before they shrink them - I want a bigger car - better for DD and winter driving.

Out of the 3 it is the best representation of the classic. This is as close as I'm going to get to owning a classic muscle car.

I sure enjoyed mine for the 2 years I had it. I like a big car and believe me it had plenty of power for what you can actually use. Never took it to the strip or anything. Thought about it but didn't want to tear it up.

I'm all for bringing back the Plymouth brand. If they bring back the brand then I'm for bringing back a Cuda muscle car. If they don't resurrect Plymouth then leave the Cuda name left in the history books and our memories. Keep in mind that the Barracuda was the first pony car. It beat the Mustang by a few weeks. It was based on the Plymouth Valiant and like the Valiant most were equipped with a slant six. It was originally a sporty looking economy car. The Mustang was also a reskinned Ford Falcon which was also an economy car and most Mustangs were built with a six cylinder. Most people only remember the 70-74 E-body Barracuda and tend to forget the first generation 64-66 A-body and second generation 67-69 A-body based Barracuda. The Barracuda was much more than just a muscle car. Incidentally the base engine for the 70-74 Barracuda was also a slant six. Back in those days you could get a slant six in every American built Plymouth and Dodge car.
