come on now think of this

the pontiac cant be slower then our montes.... that would ruin thier whole program it is a legacy car . Then monet carlos are a sporty car but were not ment to be faster then they were from the factory and we dont have the whole it has been gone for a 100 years and brang back so they have to make the GTO shine.

We had one at the show last weekend and yes it was nice but im sorry i think i like the monte better then that one anyway.

It was sharp just not me i guess.

Now the new camaro if they do it like the red one im all for it. the only thing i wish they would do with it is make the rear end look more like the 67-69 that would be great

Or better yet make the same style as it was then and just shrink it to fit the vet plat fourm now that woul be a car!! LOL

Here is the basic description of the GTO power plant.

The ’05 GTO packs 400 horsepower (295 kw) – up from 350 horses (261 kw) – and 395 lb.-ft. of torque (546 Nm), up from 365 lb.-ft. (495 Nm). Transmission choices are the same as the ’04 model’s: The Hydra-Matic 4L60-E four-speed automatic is standard and the Tremec six-speed manual is optional. GTO’s more powerful engine should lower the 0-60 time to less than 5 seconds.
The new Monte will not be able to keep up with that monster.

The 5.3L V-8 produces 303 horsepower (226 kw) and 323 lb.-ft. (438 Nm) of torque
