Don't give me that "I pay for the roads, too" or "If the speed I'm going isn't good enough for you, too bad" BS. Did you ever see the signs that say "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT" ?Thanks for trying to decide how I live my life, NOT!

LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!!

I'll take my chances with my Escort and the cops, thank you very much. For the record, I have never been pulled over for speeding in 30 years of driving. I don't need anyone to tell me how to drive.
I can understand someone going slower than the speed limit, I agree they need to get out of the way. But people like me who go about 5 over the speed limit have every right to be in the left lane.

The rude person is the guy who thinks he's going to get to his destination faster by going 10-20 over the speed limit weaving in an out of lanes. I'm not going to get out of their way.

WoW, this Thread proves we are a family 4 Sure.
Agree 2 dis-agree.
I've condense the MCF Rules to one main one.
Don't hurt with your words/posts.
It's simple.
With just words, and without the tone inflections of hearing a voice,
we sometimes mistake the meaning of what we have read, or
have written. That's why we all have a edit key, to re/read &
change what maybe taken in the wrong way.
I to have been a violator, by my stupidity/ignorance.
I never intent 2 hurt anyone with my words/post,
and I am really sorry if I have...4-Sure.

I agree/support Mod J.J., we don't want 2 delete, or lock.

It's happened to many of my posts.
I learn as I travel my highways of `life.
We don't need any major accident on our Home Forum.

There's enough Stress in our OutSide Real World.
Our Forum is a Stress Free Zone....
I wanta stay here on the MCF where it's safe
Now, get the heck out of my way
I'll pass U in the grass or in the pull `off lane : )
or bump draft U outa my Way lol
Peace/Out

Let's get back on the original topic. The fact that driver's are breaking the law by constantly driving in the left lane, and not switching to the right. Regardless of speeds, if you aren't passing you should be back on the right side of the road. It's the law.

Here in PA it is real bad because everyone is SO SLOW. They drive slow, walk slow and talk slow. It gets on my nerves sometimes, especially on the road.
I take it you don't spend much time in Philadelphia then.

Oh, and as was mentioned in the original post, there is a law in PA where you can get pulled over for travelling in the passing lane (you're not supposed to be in the passing lane for more than a mile unless you are in the act of passing....it is a law in most states). I didn't realize that they actually enforced this law at all, until I saw a few people get pulled over for lounging in the passing lane along rt 322 between Lewistown and Harrisburg.
I wish they actually enforced the law more often, because it is both frustrating and dangerous when people in the passing lane are matching the speed of people in the slow lane.

Here's what gets my goat though......

When you come up on a couple of slow cars, and the car in front of you goes to pass the slower traffic.
Then, as soon as they get beside the slower cars, they drop to the exact same speed as the slower cars.
What the hell are people thinking? Oh, my dad has a bad habit of doing that btw. although I think he's finally stopped after years of nagging from my mother (who is known locally as "Mary Andretti")

Haha, no I dont spend much time in Philly. Actually I have never been to Philadelphia, though I have no desire to ever go, lol. The cities are different. Pittsburgh isnt as bad as the rest of PA but my roomate and other people from different states up here at school have commented that PA drivers are so much slower, even in the city they are slower. Ive noticed it too over the years because I dont drive like most people from PA.

i just avoid the highways like the plauge. in fact, my friends think im nuts because ive been known to go way out of my way to avoid I-80, lol, but then i dont have to deal with slow/ insane traffic. besides, im more comfertible driving on narrow, winding back country roads, i wind up more alert to the road conditions & its just more fun. i have actully managed to beat people to a destination when im on the back roads & there on the highway, not even trying. i like " seeing the usa in my "97" chevrolet" lol. ( though blurred colors are hardly seeing the usa, lol. im not big on driving slow, unless its unfermilear terf, )

that's how i am. most of the time on the highway i'm 5-10 mph over the speed limit (the speed limit on most of the highways around here is 55) but sometimes i'm content being in the "slow" right hand lane hanging out at the speed limit with traffic, and sometimes i'm doing 90 in the left lane. it all depends on my mood.

x2. a lot of times around here, since there are only a few major highways, the side/back roads are easier. i don't take the highway normally unless i absolutely have to. my friends always laugh because i can pretty much get anywhere within a hundred or so mile radius without getting on the highway at all.
