Lane Automotive Show Pic's from 5/22/09
I spent the day at the Lane Automotive show with my wife LadyT and RJ and his G/F. GREAT day! It hit mid 80's, and just a perfect day. Last year they had about 1,200 cars. This year the place was jammed full, with some cars showing on the opposite side of the drive from the show. Someone said 2,000 cars, but I'm guessing 1,500. Largest turnout ever.
I took 358 pics, but just a fraction of the cars. I'll post some of the best, IMO, and pics of ALL the Montes in attendance, about 20-30.I THINK I got pics of all the Monte's there, but it's hard to know for sure. I know I missed at LEAST 1, but probably more.
Here are some of the best, starting with the top pull of the weekend, 810 whp nova:
Our cars:
The silver '06 Vette parked next to Lucy was a Ligenfelter prepped blown LS.
How about a new Camaro SS from the Illinois Camaro club:
A row of 4 fourth gens in front of the "noise fest":

I PROMISE I'll get more pics up, but give me a bit to sort thru over 350 pics. I'll post at least 1 or 2 pics of every Monte I caught on camera, including this one for sale. Almost 900 whp, 1,300 bhp, 8 sec 1/4's. How much? $40k. All 1st notch equipment.
Hard to choose what to post, let alone what to take pic's of.
This guy is a firefighter just north of here, G. R. I believe. Don't tell me these guys don't know how to play hard!
Duane, here's 1 for you. There were 3 there, orange, red, and white.
And when's the last time you seen a PAIR of Judges at a show?
And just 2 of the Shelby GT 500s there:
And for us 6th gen guys, here's a local guy. Haven't met him yet, but I know where to find him now. At a local Tues' cruise.
More to come.

Then there was this gorgeous boat tail Auburn with a late model Hemi:
And 2 of my personal favorites, old Buick iron:
LadyT's personal favority, being a fan of ******, this nice '33:
And what's a car show without a '51 Merc':

Thanks again `Wayne 4-Sure : )
`Wayne, my computer was cry'in & phone line was Smok'in,
as it strained to open your
awesome picture thread It was worth the wait 4-Sure.
The Auburn sure is a wild awesome design 4 it's time,
sure don't look like a `Cube : )
I also agree with `Jamie Lynn on the Convertible, it's
a super sharp look'in custom.
Your Monte, Rj's, and Lucy added to the beauty of the show.
Thanks again 4 bringing the outside world of super auto's
to our screens. I really/really enjoy them, and I'm just
happy 2 be connected to the Web, and met so many online
auto enthusiats. Your contributions/time are always appreciated.
We thank You ....4-Sure

Wayne, I bet it was a blast. I liked that green 2nd Gen.
But to be honest, what took my breath away was that red 60-61 Apache next to it. The hood is from a 62 and up, but its a common thing to do since the 60-61 hoods are really hard to find now.
If God willing, i'll find me another 60 Apache. 4~SURE
