Thumbs up

Hi `Amy, I'm impressed with the concerns & information that member's of our MonteCarloFamily have posted, have shared on your thread. Mod `Matt, enjoyed reading what fell outa your head : )

Personally, I'd rather make less $ money & be happy , then to make more $ money & be `Sad , but we all have 2 `do what we all have to `do 2 survive in these crazy economic times 4-$ure...

Sometimes, we have to cut back or eliminate our toys, and I've found that it's no fun having toys that we can't afford to play with : (
`Amy, we wish you the best in your job decision & in `Life...

p.s. I think a major key 2 happiness in life is getting paid for something that you enjoy (love) 2 `do ->4-$ure: )
Dream `it ~>Plan `it ~> Act `it

Seems like everyone is for leaving. There are no guarantee's in this economy so i say go for the new job. Besides the one year deal could open up other opportunity's Good luck with your decision.

I definitely agree with Space on this. That's not saying I'd quit a high paying job I hate to take a minimum wage job I liked better. There's always a limit. Right now with my job hunt, I've accepted the fact that I will be losing 3-4 dollars an hour, but I can afford it and I'll be happier (and my family won't have to deal with my mood swings, all because of work). It all depends on everyone's individual situation.

We will see what happens. Since this is going through an agency I have to wait to see if I even get an interview for the position. If it happens I'd probably accept the position and if it doesn't at least I will have stability at my current job.

I think its always a good idea to semi-regularly look for other work, even while enjoying your current job. The perfect job is always easier to find when you don't really need it.

I know that what I did before I accepted my current position. I actually had 2 other job offers while I was employed somewhere else, so I was able to bargain hard and make the 2 places bid against each other for me and drive up my starting wage - I had nothing to lose. Eventually the manager at Carquest cracked and freaked out on me for jerking him around, so I took the offer from the other parts store (APC). Never regretted it...
