Freezing Rain Blamed For 31-Car Crash on I-64/40

21 people sent to hospital

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI - FOX2now.com) —
Twenty people were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a nasty chain reaction crash on Interstate 64. Officials are blaming it on some freezing rain and an icy patch on the interstate.

neat-O..... that's why i hate the interstate. i'd rather run my backroads if it's nasty out. taking a 90 degree downhill switchback at 5 MPH with no traffic seems way better than crusing a straight line at 40-50 with traffic. mabe im just messed up?

wow thats horrible.
We have some crashes like that on I95 or the turnpike, but thats just because floridians cant drive. Well most of them cant.

A lot of this happens cuz people don't slow down. They think they can make it through any weather conditions at full speed. Especially people with 4WD suvs. Just because you can go doesn't mean you can stop.
