Bad News for me and the Monte
wow, mike, that sucks big time, but llike blacksheep 'mike said, dont give up hope, and fight tooth and nail for as much $ as you can get outta this to cover repairs for your monte. call all the local salvage yards to see if you can save some $ and like blacksheep 'mike said, put whatever you might have left over into mods. also, you might get lucky with the person the insurance co. sends out to inspect the damages, many of them are old body guys / certified car nuts, if they can tell you have a love affair with your car you might strike up a conversation & get lucky, this happened with my uncles mazda p/u, he loves that truck, but was t-boned by a van, hard. but he hit it off with the inspector and the truck was not totaled, he got the maximum amount he could recive, and he had the truck fixed, and it drives straight and true.
good luck getting everything sorted out, man!

Just a LONG string of curse words in all ways shapes and forms cam rolling out of my mouth...LOLBut to be honest, just about half an hour ago I was texting a good friend about what happend, and while I was texing, I had to fight back tears. I was not full up crying, but yea my eyes were getting watery...I guess i'm a 22 year old baby.LOL. That or that car just literally means so much to me that i'm not joking when i say I fell like a piece of me is gone!
Mike...I honestly thought I was DONE with mods...I was thinking about the side moldings though after you had mentioned it when I got the spoiler done...but thats it. I was really happy with the way my car was/ looked. And due to the lack of anymore performance upgrades with out going crazy, I was happy in that department too...but then just as I think i'm done, of cousre, ACCIDENT, ruin everything! errrrrrr
Part of me likes that hood, and another part of me does not! IDK if its for me...Although, I think that SS above does look great. So IDK. Hmmmm.....Do I like it?

Oh nooooooooooo I just thought of something me likes while looking at that above Monte!
What would it cost to add the SS style underbody kit to my car? Is is possible? Is the SS bumper molded with the extra molding? If so, would the SS bumber fit my car? Hmmmmm.....
I just don't know...I need to see where my finances are after recovering from this accident crap, paying my ticket if it does not get dropped, deductible, and higher insurance rates! Damn it!

If the price is right you should consider it. Will help your CAI also :P
But if it's too steep after everything and you overlook it, no one will blame you, but if you can get a new hood cheap that would be awesome and REALLY make your car stand out more.
On my gen cars, the SS kit is a bolt on process. You drill into the wheel wells and bolt it on, then you have to drill slots along the bumpers to put the kit on. Usually really expensive too for that kit from a dealer.

i lol'd at your motivational/ Inspirational tactics here, Bravo that's all i can say bravo.
to the OP: man that really blows, i hope you can get a cool adjuster...
perhaps you can salvage a part or two to help counter the deductible, and then pour a few bucks into mods. There may yet be a silver lining to your dark cloud.
