Pet peeve #1 definitely extremely large rims on car(anything over 22inch) which turns out looking like a truck/car(to each its own but not for me). Another is Huge pick up trucks racing around like their in a hot rod and last but not least people who judge other peoples taste in customizing!!! This one i forgot about people who run into people with same vehicle and act like can't acknowledge it or act like theirs are better than everyone else's lol

My biggest pet peeve would have to be the people that drive slow in the passing lane and stay there, they won't pull over to let you pass that is why the highways have those signs that say "slower traffic stay to the right" lol

Second is the little Hondas that are falling apart and the owners have put a really loud muffler on it. I mean the car has holes in it allowing exhaust fumes in but they would rather spend money on people hearing them instead of their own safety lol

Oh, I just remembered another one:

You ever slow down for a red light ahead, and right at the exact moment you brake to a complete stop, the light turns green again? I HATE THAT!!

That happens way too often for it to be just plain coincidence... I sense the hands of fate trying to provoke me into road rage...

I was at Fred Meyers yesterday. (That's the Local version of a Super Walmart, just a little better organized). This guy started his Grand Prix that was park in front of me. He started it and the motor went TIC TIC TIC TIC, really loud. Then his super nice Stereo System kicked in. And as he pulled away I saw what had to be a set of $300 each, Rims.
Why would you get rims tired and a Full Blown, Thumping, stereo w/woofers, BEFORE you fix the engine? And then the doors were 2 different shades of Brown. What good is a stereo and rims if the engine falls out the car?

That's when you jack up the car, remove the audio system and put it in the next POS they buy. Extra points if the 28" rims fit on the new ride too.

But yes, biggest peeve is junkers on the road. California does not have any inspection program other than a bi-annual smog check. So there are lots of dangerous cars that might fall apart in front of you or spin out next to you here.

Just today on the way home I passed a Ford Ranger that had a bent rim or damaged tire, going 60 on the hiway. The wheel was doing this mad hopping motion on a smooth road. shudders.

im gonna go a different route with my pet peeves....

1) people talking crap on anothers vehicle! we are all car enthusiasts, we are all here because we enjoy seeing cars and most importantly love our own car so no need for trash talking!!

2) your car has brakes not breaks people!!!

3) your car has a engine not a motor!!!!

My Number 1 peeve is Monte Abuse.

I have seen some new and old school Montes here in the Lansing area
that are just in an advance state of disrepair. These Montes need to be rescued!

I'll second this one. About 50% of my drive into work is on a highway with 2 lanes going each way and a moderate amount of heavy truck traffic. Almost every day, I notice a handful of people chilling in the left lane, not passing anyone, and completely oblivious to everything going on outside.

One day coming home it was so bad that I started keeping track of how many cars I passed on the correct (ie left) side of the road - total came out to 5 cars. I only had 1 at the 1/2 way mark which absolutely floored me. Compare that to 50-60 cars passed on the right. It was just obscene.

I've seen people pass in the turning lane at one of the few stoplights on the highway, people pass on the shoulder, and bikes drive right between the cars. It's just unreal sometimes. Luckily the other 1/2 of my highway drive is between 3 lanes and 5 lanes wide each direction, so you've got a lot more room to get around the people who feel the need to get to the far left lane and cruise well under the speed limit.
