Default 66 Mustang

Awhile ago I told you guys that I was getting a 66 Stang. I got it in the middle of winter so didn't have a chance to drive it. It's acually a coupe not a fastback but this thing is mean. The first time took it out of storage the fuel pump went out and the shifter was stuck in 1st gear. Fun to drive it to the shop, only 3 mins away from storage. So got that fixed and replaced the shifter with a 4speedhurst shifter with a white shift ball. Looks much better than the stock shifter. The guy I got it from (personal friend). Kept every record of it. It's a 289 Hi-Po, has a small cam in it, 3:55 gear with posi, 650 Holly 4 barrel, full length headers with 2.5" header back Flowmaster exhaust. This morning Ibroke the first loosein 2nd and 3rd. This thing screams but a good scream

The car orignally came with a reg. 289 but he had the hipo 271hp motor put in after being rebuilt. With the bigger carb, header, full exhaust, it an over 300hp motor. Will get some pics soon, at work right now.

I know right, it's something totally different in driving an old school car. My first power brake was in our 67 Mustang. My dad has always had old cars. We have a 66/67 Mustang, and a 52 Chevy. The 67 has a reg. 289, complete back to stock, the 66 beefed up and not stock by no means and the 52 is almost back to orignal shape, needs just a little bit more work but close. Now that thing is a boat. But for a 1952 it just floats going down the road. About assmooth as can be
