Yesterday we pointed you to Motor Trend's extremely detailed and involved process to pick the 2012 Best Driver's Car. (For those who need a refresher, thePorsche 911 Carrera S beat out the Lamborghini Aventador, Jaguar XKR-S, Ford Shelby GT500, Chevy Camaro ZL1, McLaren MP4-12C, Subaru BRZ, Nissan GT-R and Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG Black Edition for the top spot.)

Let's check the math: Nine incredible pieces of machinery -- everything from a fantastically nimble 200-horsepower rear-wheel-drive Subaru to a fire-breathing all-wheel-drive Aventador with 691 horsepower -- totaling 68 cylinders, 4,730 horsepower, 4,037 lb-ft of torque and more than $1.3 million worth of sheet metal.

I know what you're thinking: Please, please tell me they brought all those cars to an abandoned airstrip and had a drag race.

Cool video space. The Subaru seems slow in the video but a 14.9 is pretty fast for a stock car. I like the sounds of the Lambo. I have only ever seen 1 Lamborghini and it had a pretty distinct sound.

 

Thanks `Lou for your post/words. I agree the times are decent @ 14.9 sec's in a quarter...I've read online with a few minor mod's that they are in the high 13's...I know it didn't belong in this test, but if was fun & I loved how it finished the 1/4 mile in the posted above vid

I love rides that handle like this + get great MPG's..All the test on it are positive & it's on my top ten list 4- the $'s..
I'd love to have one as my daily driver & have a 4th Gen Project Monte S.S. to play with & build..."2 dare 2 dream in SpaceVision) LOL...
Also with the price of the cars in this vid, I could buy ten Scions for the price of a Lambo Then all my friends could have one & we could terrorize the highways (LOL)

 

I just learned last `eve, that the owner of my company may be buying into a Scion Dealership He told me that he would hook me `up when & `if I was interested in buying one
Now, I really want to `go test drive one...Our local dealer called & said that they had one for me to test, but I could not get away to drive it... (When I did get a break, it was sold & everyone coming in are sold already). I will go the first chance I get when they have one to test drive...I love the looks of the below one
