First, welcome to MCF.
Second, a few things to check are your tires and look under the Monte for leaks. It could be something to do with your steering rack. Also, does your Monte have a lot of miles? Maybe an alignment would help.
If you have anymore info about it let us know. That could help narrow the problem down.

Welcome to the forum.
I was going to suggest the same as trewyn15. Have your tires and wheels checked. Have you hit a curb, large pot hole, or something really hard? You may have a bent rim. But most likely it's your tires that aren't balanced properly. A really quick fix at your local tire shop.

Yep I agree with everyone else. A couple months after I got my 01 MC the rack and pinion started to go and it was "super shakey, bro." It may not be a bad idea to have that checked. Not cheap, so I hope that's not what it is.
